Tissot V8 Steel Chronograph Brown Mens Watch T36.1.316.72

Best of All Tissot's5

Before buying this watch I visited several Tissot dealers and I can say that this is one of the best Tissot's I have seen. Considering the price listed here on Amazon its unbeatable. I own an Omega Seamaster Pro Chronograph and needed a watch for every day use and this watch is perfect. I've seen this watch in the dealer with a retail of $350.00 and only one of 5 authorized dealers had one available since they claim that it is not for the US market. watch is heavy and very well made. also shipping was fast (2 days). Tissot T-Sport PRC200 Mens Watch T014.410.16.057.00

PRC200 simple w/o Chrono4

Very readable and large dial a great watch if you are a Tissot fan with discrete red highlights on the seconds and a T on the second hand both pointing to the Swiss history and the brand. A very solid watch with a screw down crown 200meter waterproof may appear a bit strange with a leather band but I sail and have had humidity problems with other "waterproof" watches without immersion. This one is not going to have those problems! Lots of PRC200 reviews gripe abut the difficulty in getting it on and off with the mixed leather and clasp band make sure you unsnap both clasps before removal then it works great. This was one key factor for me I love leather bands but they wear too quickly buckling and unbuckling this clever mecanism saves the wear on the leather (but if you don't unsnap both clasps it would be a nightmare to get on and off.More detail ...

Luminox Men's EVO Navy SEAL Colormark Watch #3059

Great military watch5

I usually don't review products but I'm compelled to write one about this watch. As a watch collector and a Soldier with two combat tours in Iraq I know what a good military watch looks like. This watch is an excellent companion to wear in combat and it looks good enough for casual wear. I wore the Traser version on my last tour as well as a Marathon GSAR. Those watches are now confined to my safe as I wear this watch more often than I do my other watches. It is light weight rugged and macho looking easy to read at all times and of course it lights up like a torch a night.

What's to like about this watch? First it is 200 water resistant. That's more than enough WR to withstand any water usage. Second the case construction (PC/Carbon) is the best making this piece very lightweight. Third you have to love the color combination. Orange is the international color for emergency/distress and it is very well executed in this piece without overwhelming the watch or making it look like a "fashion watch."

I like this watch so much that I ended up buying the white version (3051). At first when I read Luminox's claim that their watches are used by SF guys Navy Seals and law enforcement officers I thought to myself what a gimmick. But now that I own two I can tell you that it is indeed a very practical and though watch that will serve you well either you serve in the Armed Forces are a law enforcement officer or are a spirited and adventurous civilian.

To close I have another Army buddy that have one of the original navy Seals watches. He has wore his on two tours in Iraq and has beaten the heck out of it and the watch looks good and has withstood the harsh environment of the desert. Don't hesitate to buy this watch. You will only regret it if you don't get it...More detail ...

Seiko Men's Alarm Chronograph Leather Strap Watch #SNAB65

Stylish sporty and elegant5

I own this watch my first seiko.

This watch has a combination of classic(classy leather strap) and sporty design(Sexy black dial). Looks good with dresses and casuals alike.

I got this watch after looking for this combination for a lot of time. I m happy that I got this one much cheaper than I expected to pay for a watch like this.

Somehow it looks much better on my wrist than my friends who is fairer.

Hope you will like it too.

Just an update after more than an year of usage! No scratches on the watch the leather strap as good as new and I wear it everyday! This must say something about the quality!More detail ...

Tissot Men's PRC 200 Chronograph Watch #T17.1.586.52

I have the blue dial5

Large heavy man's man watch. Gets plenty of looks and the bracelet is just beautiful. Keeps excellent time as most quartz movements do. I use it as an everyday casual watch and have banged it numerous times the sapphire crystal remains scratchless. Thought about buying another or collecting all three colors.

This watch could be improved if the night illuminators didn't take so long to charge. Also it lacks a perpetual calendar but the date is easy to change and only has to be done once every two months.

Try this before spending $2000 - $5000 on breitling tag omegaMore detail ...

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Calibre 8700 Watch

Amazing functionality but with some ease of use issues4

A very very precise perpetual solar powered timepiece capable of tracking the time in two zones (you toggle between locations using the crown) pretty thin at a great street price. The hands have nice night time illumination. The leather strap and deployant buckle are pretty plush. Some of the functionality is hard to use and there is a cheap look to the metal bezel (which marks easily; the glass seems tough enough).

This thing is really a time computer instead of a watch; when you change modes the hands change function in such a way that to get back to the time you must be accessing a computer memory. Also it has the cute (really) habit of napping when it has been in the dark for some long time. Then when you look at it it senses light wakes up and the second hand moves madly to catch up.

The crown:

It is way too easy to pull the crown out two stops into the setting mode which could cost you the correct time instead of one stop into the position where you can change modes.

The alarm:

To see what at time the alarm is set you change to the alarm mode and it may take (really) a minute or more while the hands move to show that time (the minute hand actually goes round and round as the hour hand advances ... its a 24 hour alarm which is very nice there's a separate indicator keeping track of 24 hour time). Then the same thing in the other direction when you need

the time again. The alarm is very very dim I would not trust it to wake me up. When the watch is in the calendar mode where the second hand shows the month there is no way to see whether the alarm is on (that hand can only be used to show the number of years to the next leap year ... likewise when it shows whether the alarm is on it can't access that leap-year function).

The second time zone:

Quite easy to use its synched to the main time in hour increments. Just don't go to Teheran or any other place where time isn't on the hour that isn't possible without resetting the main watch time. There's a 2ndary dial which tells you whether the 12 hour hands are pointed to am or pm in either time zone.

And it may take a long time to move to the 2nd time if you need to check that see the comments on checking the alarm time.

bottom line: the gaffes probably stand out more just because the good parts are so good. Its almost a perpetual motion machine!More detail ...

Tissot Men's PRS 516 Retrograde Watch #T91.1.488.31

Better Than Watches Worth Thousands5

The Tissot PRS 516 Retrograde is the best watch I've ever purchased and I've purchased watches and spent much much more. The countdown 30 second timer is certainly a unique feature that gets attention. Tissot has given this watch so many subtle design details--the T on the bracelet and the winder the bevelled face the racing design. Looks sporty and dressy. It's a true classic timepiece from a renowned Swiss watchmaker. More detail ...

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Titanium Skyhawk Chronograph Watch #JR3060-59F

Great watch if you're careful with it4

First the good news: this is a superbly designed watch. The advanced features (e.g. chronograph world time zone settings alarms) are easy to use and understand. Due to the Eco-drive system the battery lasts practically forever and it keeps accurate time. The titanium version is much lighter than the stainless and it really is waterproof. If you are a pilot the slide bezel works great for calculating fuel consumption speed etc. The safety clasp fastens securely and is easy to use.

Now the bad news: it's shockingly fragile. Granted I'm fairly hard on watches so the fact that the crystal got all scratched up was sort of a given. That happens to me all the time. What I didn't expect however is that the titanium case and band was abraded just as easily. Unlike a stainless band it's very obvious when the titanium one is scratched; the damage clearly shows up as bright silver lines on the matte titanium finish.

If I had this to do all over again I'd get the stainless version and live with the extra weight. In fact when this one dies (or I just get tired of looking at all the surface blemishes) I will buy the stainless one. It's a little cheaper too.

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Watch #BL5250-02L

Fantastic Watch!4

I am what many would call a watch nut and own over 30 ranging from Timex to Rolex. For me to buy a watch there has to be "something there" for me to get excited about. At $240 this is one of the very best buys on a fantastic watch that you can find! I was so impressed with this watch I purchased a second one as a gift for my father in law who by the way was very impressed with the watch himself.

Before getting into all the things I like about this watch I want to point out one of the other reviewers posted a problem with the buckle on his watch having some "points" on it that dug into his wrist and made the watch uncomfortable to wear. This must be a factory defect as this is not the case with either of the two that I purchased. While the watch strap is not usually covered by warranty I know from 1st hand experience that Citizen has a dedicated and friendly customer service department and I believe if he contacts them he will find a new strap coming to him rather quickly. Also as to the strap I have been disappointed somewhat in the past when purchasing a watch and the strap that comes with it is not substantial in length. I have a 7.25 inch wrist and this has not caused me a problem but I would readily notice if someone had a larger wrist they would have to go out and purchase a new and larger strap to be able to wear their new watch. The strap that comes with this citizen will allow someone with a larger wrist than mine to be able to wear this watch with the strap that comes on it. This is very good as I believe the supplied strap is very handsome on this watch.

The BL5250-02L is a marvelous little piece of technology at a very good price! At a suggested retail of $400 I have routinely found the watch at local authorized dealers at around $300. My watch was purchased on line for $240 with free shipping and for an additional $5 you could have "next day" shipping.

This watch comes to you very user friendly right out of the box. Along with the user manual also comes a mini disk that when played will have you understanding all the features time settings and adjustments. You will have your watch set and on your wrist in about 10 minutes. Also if you lose this information you may go to Citizen's web page and pull up the same info on an interactive video.

The Echo Drive models have a power cell in them that is charged by available light so there is no battery change ever! The perpetual calendar allows you to set the watch once and then it recognizes short months along with leap years so there is no further adjustment for that. Also there is a duel time zone feature. I use this for setting the second time zone to address the yearly time change of one hour. Doing this with the simple turn of the dial my watch snaps into Daylight savings time mode and then back with another turn when the time comes to go back. It just does not get easier than that.

The rotating bezel certainly may be used for more than just looks. One of the ways I use mine is when I plug a parking meter. I just rotate the bezel so my minute hand moving toward the marker allows me to quickly see when I need to be back at my car. The alarm function works but it is not very noticeable. I have two Seiko's that have a very audible and piercing sound. In this area I have to say Citizen could improve the watch. However I do notice it if I am awake. I just don't know if it would wake me from a deep sleep.

The finish of the watch is very nice and the strap is very comfortable to wear. The watch while feeling very solid is not as heavy as you may would expect and it wears very nicely on the wrist. The watch is advertised as a "deep blue" face and that is an understatement. For all purposes except in direct sunlight it is black. This does not bother me at all because it looks great and again in direct sunlight it does have a blue hew that looks good also. Besides great function and price another strong point on this watch is the luminosity of the hands and markers. With over 30 watches my Seiko's seem to have a lock on that area but this citizen comes in a very very close second. After being outside all day I can read my watch all night long from my darkened bedroom.

Last but not least this watch comes with a five year warranty and as I stated before Citizen has great customer service.

I have just touched on the many features of this finely made watch and for you that do not like straps and would prefer a bracelet Citizen offers the same watch on a bracelet as model number BL5250-53L. It retails for $500 local price around $400 web price $300.

I rate this watch a solid 4 out of a possible 5 stars. I would have given it 4.5 if the alarm were more noticeable. I am very picky and I did not even rate my Rolex 5 stars. I highly recommend this watch and would but purchase it again. In fact I did when I purchased one for my father in law. If this watch appeals to your eye buy it! Price functions ease of use warranty and customer service is just icing on the cake! More detail ...
